Cape Sounion is located at the southern tip of Attica, 65 km from Athens. On this cape overlooking the Aegean Sea stands the sanctuary of Poseidon, the Greek god of the seas and earthquakes. His temple offers breathtaking views of the horizon and the Aegean Sea, and the sunsets there are sublime! To get there, we travel along the southwest coast of Attica, known as the “Athens Riviera,” where beaches and coves abound. Before arriving at Cape Sounion, a swim in Lake Vouliagmeni is planned to enjoy its thermal waters.
